This is the sweetest pair of vintage cloth Chinese character dolls. They are very similar to the Ada Lum dolls. Both 11" tall - the boy's braid adds 2". Wool yarn braids, with silk ribbon ties, and embroidered faces. Vintage fabrics and braids are so charming and colorful! He wears checks in yellow, white and black with orange braid. She wears a pink and blue floral with yellow braid. They have individual fingers. Silk shoes. They both have cotton socks. I love how their pants are tied with vintage string at the waist! The boy has his original tag on his wrist - it reads: "Chinese Character Doll Type: Boy No. 151 Size 10" Made in Hong Kong" These are just so cute - they have a folk art quality. Both in excellent clean condition with no odors, no damage, no stains. From a smoke-free home. Fresh from a wonderful estate sale! Such a nice find!
