Antique Vintage Asian Chinese China Doll Pair Man & Lady Silk Clothes Chalkware

Hello! Just Reduced!!
These Chinese dolls are quite unusual.
I believe they are made of chalk or plaster.
The man is almost 10" tall and the lady is approx. 9.5" tall.
I believe the man's braid is human hair, but not certain.
Their clothing is made of silk and as you can see in the photos,
they are wearing in places and the black pants on the lady
is starting
to disintegrate.
Their faces could use some cleaning.
Their upper arms and legs are wire, stuffed and wrapped in silk.
It's possible the bodies are straw stuffed but I'm not sure.
Their wire stands are attached thru their feet.
Marked on bottom of feet "CHINA".
I wish I knew more about these dolls.... if anyone has information,
please LMK and I will add to their description.
