    Description
    This listing is for an antique Chinese Opera Doll or puppet.  This older puppet appears to be a man and has a painted wood face with hair, Articulated wooden hands and wooden feet/shoes attached to a cloth body.
    Doll is clothed in a very detailed. traditional garment embroidered on silk in green and probably red, though red has faded. Garment is lined in white.  A seal or makers mark is stamped on the lining. See pics. Figure is 13" tall.
    This is an older item with conditions issues. Fabric is faded and soiled. I found a hole, like a cigarette burn, on base of garment that I have pictured. There is paint loss on head, hands and feet.   Even with condition issues the detail on green robe with hand embroidered symbols and fringe and pleated lining is impressive.
    Item was found with a metal display stand that may have been a later addition by current owner.
    We are listing a small collection of Asian items collected by client's mother during her travels about 100 years ago as family is downsizing.
